MANILA, Philippines. Dormy PH makes its debut in the 2023 Philippine Startup Week celebrations by ranking among the Top 100 Startups in this year’s QBO SHOWQASE.

Top 100 Startups Showqase by QBO, an annual list released by the startup-focused public-private partnership of the Department of Trade and Industry, began its publication in 2020 — featuring the hottest startups in the country, with familiar names ranging from Edukasyon.ph, Kumu, Pickup Coffee, Nextpay, and SariSuki, founded by former country president of Grab Philippines, Brian Cu.

Dormy PH was founded in 2022 by Kurt Gutierrez (CEO), Sean Francisco (CMO), Alyssa Wee (COO), and Bryce Cataran (CTO) — who built the project attempting to solve dormitory search woes.

The startup has since grown to operate as a wider residential leasing marketplace that unites renters, landlords, and agents in a single platform. The group has joined the portfolio of AHG Lab, the leading independent venture studio specializing in PropTech, known to have brought well-known startup names like Weremote, GoGym, Doon, and Shoppable Business into the local scene.

Dormy focuses on digitizing the renting ecosystem with tech-enabled touchpoints from search & viewing to move-in. From launching its first public BETA web app in May 2023, it has since grown to generate 6,000 sign-ups with 43 partner hosts, including major co-living players like MyTown Co-Living and CBC Land.

The startup has since helped 100+ renters find a home in trusted locations available at its web-based application.

“Our platform usage demand has significantly outpaced supply, and so the rest of our roadmap this year is heavily focused on partnering with properties — whilst building new features that can digitize the renter’s journey further beyond visits and move-ins,” says Kurt Gutierrez, CEO & Co-Founder of Dormy PH.

Interested partner agents, brokers, and properties can apply to join the platform free of charge at its platform for landlords, Dormy for Business. Remote, paid internships and career opportunities are also made available at Dormy Careers.
